About Me
Hi I'm Sylvia and I have been a Baby Play & Sign tutor since October 2008.
After having my first baby in Jan 2007 a beautiful baby boy called Riece and getting married to my husband Steve in August 07... Yep 2007 was a busy year for me... lol ;-)
My out look on life changed and I decided that I did not want to go back to the rat race of working full time, long hours and missing out on the quality time with my son . The thought of leaving my precious baby boy in the care of someone else... at such a young age did not appeal to me.
I wanted to be there to see Riece take his fisrt steps, his first words and be around for the early years of his life!
It has been very exciting as a new mum and to teach Baby Play & Sign as a Hullabaloo Kids Tutor and even more exciting setting up my own company BaaBaa Babies offering many more great activity classes for pre-school children!
Been a Baby Activity Tutor works perfectly for Riece and me, we get to meet so many lovely new mums and babies every day, learn new things, different ways to communicate with each other and we both enjoy our bonding sessions.
Been able to share and pass on skills to parents/carers and encouraging babies to explore their senses using touch, sound and smell, is such a rewarding job and feeling. Especially when a baby starts to mimic back to you what you have been teaching them. It's the most amazing feeling ever!
The added bonus of been able to take Riece to work with me every day since such a young age, is so valuable. Sharing special moments with him and watching him learn and grow is just increditable!
Riece is now so used to been in class with me that on most days Riece will play teacher and demo all the actions to songs, sing and sign for. He is my little assistant... lol
