Wednesday 11th January 2009

Yesterday morning I received some very sad sad news... It is taking me some time to get my head round it and come to terms with what I am about to tell you all.

This will effect my Harrow group of parents more so than others.

Nicole & Adrian Lightfoot parents of little Hayden who regularly attended our Harrow class on a Thursday afternoon, have recent lost little Hayden to illness. This has come as a big shock to myself and I haven't been able to stop the tears from coming since yesterday, everytime i think of them I get this stabbing pain in my heart, so god only knows how this must be for Nicole and Adrian.

Adrain & Nicole have put together an email and asked me to forward it on to you all.

Dear All,

Hayden Christopher Lightfoot 13/03/08 – 12/01/09

It is with great sadness to let you know that our precious Hayden passed away on Monday evening having been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour a week before Christmas. Being the wonderful person that he was, he was full of happiness and smiles right until the end. Hayden went down for his morning sleep at home where he slipped into unconsciousness and then passed away peacefully in our arms at the local hospital just after 5pm.

For those of you that had met him you will know of what a wonderful character he was, always with a huge smile, sparkly eyes and the most wonderful inner joy that would simply light up your day. We are both privileged for the wonderful memories that he brought into our lives in the short time he was with us.

As we write this we remember the fun times Nicole, Hayden and I had together with you at Hullabaloo of which we thank you for making it such fun. When we are ready, we will pop into to say hello to our good friends in North Harrow.

We have decided to have a small, private goodbye to our beloved Hayden and know that your support and best wishes will be with us.

For those who may wish to send flowers we ask if you may kindly make a donation in Hayden’s name to be given to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) instead.

GOSH is a remarkable place and we feel that in some way even the smallest donation could benefit other children by either giving them hope for their future, the best medical care or a cure for various conditions.

We have set up a webpage for donations with our message and love in his memory:

www.justgiving.com/haydenlightfoot

Our apologies for the impersonal use of email in bearing such sad news but are sure that you understand it is the easiest way to let you all know.

All our love and best wishes to you all

Adrian & Nicole

This email brought home to me how precious life is and how short it can be. I say to you all treasure your time you have with your little ones. Spend as much time with them as possiable, hold them tight, tell them always how much you love them. None of us know what is round the corner. Remember when your little one is driving you up the wall... remember those parents that have lost their child and would give anything to have a cheeky monkey running about the place causing chaio's.

Hayden was such a sweet little boy, big smiles and bright eye'd. He was a real pleasure to have at my harrow class and I for one will really miss him and his parents too. I know there were a few of you at harrow class that had particularly gotten close to Hayden and his parents. They would loved to hear from you, you can contact them direct on nicole email address in the above email, or email me and I will forward your details on to them for you.

May little Hayden rest in peace, sleep tight until we met again. I pray for Adrian & Nicole to remain strong together, and for god to take their hand and help them through these dark days and nights ahead.

with love Sylvia, Riece & Steve xx

Note: If you would like to donate in Hayden's memorie the min amount is £2. I know the credit crunch has hit many of us hard and money is very tight for us all, however I am sure we can spare £2 each for this cause.

Please when donating if you leave your name along with Hullabaloo Kids and the class you attend for example:

Sarah & John - Hullabaloo Kids Bushey or Sarah & John HK - Bushey

By doing this will help Adrian & Nicole trace where the donations are coming in from and who to thank.

I do hope that you will donate, I would like to think if god forbid it was my child I could take some comfort in knowing that parents all over had united and donated to try and help prevent this kind of illness getting the better of other children.

God bless x
